Saadan  National Park is the only wildlife in Eastern Africa which an ocean beachfront. Established in 2005, it extends soe 1,100 sqr km. The name Saadani has a close link to the settlement in the area during the 19 century. The name of a fishing village that originally known as utondwe which changed to Saadani.

The Park is situated at the heart of the Bgamoyo, Pangani and Zanzibar that once.

  1. Spectacular wildlife notably Waterbuck, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Eland, Lion, Sable Antelope, Elephant, Warthog and Baboon.
  2. The Wami River estuary with dense Mangroves and dotted with breath-taking concentration of hippo and Crocodile and water birds.

  8. Abundant marinr life including the natural Mafui sandbank.

Saadani National Park is where the beach meets the bush. The only wildlife sanctuary in East Africa to boast for an Indian Ocean beachfront, it as well possesses all the attributes that make Tanzania’s tropical coastline and islands very popular with European sun-worshipers. Yet it is also the one place where those idle hours of sunbathing might be interrupted by an elephant strolling past, or a lion coming to drink at the nearby waterhole!
